Scholarship Program
Strive for Excellence runs the Scholarship Program which aims to give students the knowledge and skills to successfully complete Scholarship or Select Entry Exams.
The course is designed to assist students in maintaining a high academic standard as well as to improve students' quality of work and intellectual abilities. Many students decide to undertake the course to prepare them for VCE. By building their knowledge and study habits, students are better equipped to cope with the pressures of VCE.
- The program consists of 25 lessons, each lesson being of two hours duration. During this session students will spend an hour writing essays and completing spelling, comprehension and vocabulary exercises. The second hour is dedicated to mathematics, covering both the basic skills and problem solving.
- Depending on the type of exam being undertaken, students will also be required to complete a Verbal and Numerical Reasoning, Humanities or Science curriculum. At the end of the program students sit practice exams in preparation for the actual test.
- During the session all students work individually and at their own pace. Lessons are not taught to the entire group. Explanations and examples are given on a one on one basis.
- 6 practice exams are given to each student to give them exam experience, improve speed, and pinpoint areas for improvement. Our experienced tutors then work with your child to address any problem areas.
- Pay only for the sessions your child attends. There are no administration fees, and no need to pay in advance.
