Home tutoring is available through Strive for Excellence for students who require regular assistance. Sessions are run in the student's home and are usually one hour per week.

Our Tutor's experience ranges from University Students studying to obtain either an Undergraduate or Postgraduate qualification as well as teachers who are certified by the Victorian Institute of Teaching. All tutors have obtained a satisfactory police check.

Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students are those who are studying at university but are yet to have completed a degree. These students are generally in their early 20's therefore often relate well to school students as they themselves have not been out of school all that long. Undergraduate tutors are able to explain concepts and help students with their work.

Graduates
Post graduate students are those who have already completed one or more degree/s. These tutors are able to explain concept and help students with their work. The fact that they have already completed a degree means that they have a higher degree of expertise in their field than would an undergraduate. Some postgraduate students have had limited teaching experience by acting as a tutor for undergraduate students.

Teachers
Qualified teachers have not only completed a degree in their specialized field but they also hold a qualification which allows them to teach. Teachers work with students each day, therefore are generally able to develop a good rapport with young people. Not only are teachers able to explain concepts and help students with their work but they can also provide realistic information regarding the needs and abilities of your child. Teachers often provide parents with invaluable information and advice regarding school matters.
